Description

Indulge in the ultimate dessert experience with our Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. This recipe features three irresistible layers: a crunchy Oreo crust, a creamy peanut butter filling, and a rich chocolate ganache topping. It’s a perfect balance of textures and flavors that come together to create a decadent treat ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 25 Oreo Cookies
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Ganache:

  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Filling:

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Cool Whip (thawed) or homemade stabilized whipped cream

Instructions

1. Crust:

Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and blend thoroughly with the melted butter. Firmly press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Freeze the crust while preparing the filling.

2. Ganache:

Combine the cream and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it simmers. Remove from heat and pour over the chopped chocolate. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth. Refrigerate to thicken slightly.

3. Filling:

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, and sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the Cool Whip or whipped cream until well combined. Spread this filling over the chilled crust.

4. Assembly:

Allow the filling to set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. After setting, evenly pour the ganache over the filling. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Crust Tip: For a firmer crust, bake it at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes before adding the filling.
  • Ganache Pro Tip: For a smoother ganache, chop the chocolate finely to ensure it melts evenly when mixed with the hot cream.
  • Serving Suggestion: Garnish with grated chocolate or a sprinkle of sea salt to enhance the flavors.
