Chocolate Lasagna

This is not your traditional Italian dish, but a layered dessert that promises a heavenly journey of textures and chocolatey goodness. Every spoonful brings together a delicious Oreo cookie base, a creamy layer of sweet cream cheese, rich chocolate pudding, and a fluffy topping of Cool Whip and chocolate chips.

Ingredients:

  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 6 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk, cold
  • 1 (12-ounce) tub Cool Whip, divided
  • 2 (4 ounces) packages of Chocolate Instant Pudding.
  • 3 1/4 cups milk, cold
  • 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Begin by crushing 36 Oreo cookies.
  2. Use a food processor for this if you have one, it will make the process easier.
  3. Pour melted butter over crushed cookies.
  4. Stir until all are combined and press into a 9×13 baking dish.
  5. In a mixing bowl, mix cream cheese until light and fluffy.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of milk and sugar.
  7. Stir in 1 1/4 cups Cool Whip. Spread mixture over cookie crust.
  8. In a separate bowl, combine chocolate instant pudding with 3 1/4 cups of cold milk.
  9. Whisk for several minutes until the pudding starts to thicken.
  10. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  11. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the pudding to firm.
  12. Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top and sprinkle mini chocolate chips evenly.
  13. Place in freezer for 1 hour, or refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.
