Big Mac Salad

Savoring a good meal doesn’t mean you have to compromise on your health goals. This Big Mac Salad gives you the best of both worlds – the familiar flavors of a beloved fast food staple, but in a format that’s easier on the waistline. Each bite is a medley of textures and tastes, from the savory ground beef, the crunch of the lettuce, the tanginess of the pickles, and the creaminess of the dressing. It’s a salad that’s hearty enough to stand on its own as a meal, and simple enough to whip up in less than 30 minutes.

 Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Onion finely diced
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Tomatoes diced
  • 1 cup Lettuce shredded
  • 1/4 cup Pickles diced

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons French Dressing
  • 4 teaspoons Pickles relish
  • 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

    Directions:

  1. Brown the ground beef in a pan over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. While the beef is cooking, prepare your salad ingredients – dice the onions, tomatoes, and pickles, shred the lettuce, and grate the cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine all dressing ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Once the beef is cooked, begin to assemble your salads. Divide lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, cheese, and ground beef among four bowls.
  5. Drizzle each salad with the homemade Big Mac dressing before serving. Enjoy!
